Alternative for Aquafor/ Vaseline that won’t cause milia?

Are there any alternatives that can be used for slugging under the eyes that won’t cause milia? I want the extra hydration under my eyes so I can age as gracefully as possible (I have dark circles and naturally thinner undereye skin). If you have a clean beauty recommendation, even better!

Any other tips are welcome too! Thanks

I’m using Cicaplast Gel atm (not Baume, gel. Baume irritates my eyes). Lots of glycerin (hydrating) and a healthy dose of dimethicone in addition to soothing ingredients. Not under eye “certified” but I found it gentle. I haven’t noticed any issues with milia thus far.

Unfortunately, this gave me Milia :frowning:

Did you manage to find something else that works for you?

Nothing yet. I heard it was good for sebaceous filaments on your nose and although I did observe a difference it gave me Milia on my nose! I don’t know if I’m using it wrong :frowning:

The gel? Or the baume? Because I saw a wave going through social media on the use of Baume for sebaceous filaments.

Maybe you can try oil cleansing, followed by a clay mask? Nothing will stay for long this way.

The baume! I didn’t know there was a gel, I thought they had the same effect. Perhaps I’ll try the gel version!

You can slug with any cream or lotion that has occlusive ingredients in high amounts. Beeswax, dimethicone, Argan oil, Shea butter—these are all occlusives you can slug with.

Pyunkang Yul has a new essence lotion that is pretty damn thick. It would be a good product to slug with.

Vaseline is 100% occlusive, but other occlusives let the skin breathe a bit. So, maybe just switching to another occlusive would help with the milia situation.

Thanks a lot  I have Shea butter at home, may give that a go

Aveeno skin therapy balm. It has oat and panthenol for soothing skin and isn’t heavy on the skin
