I just bought this because theoretically it should be amazing for my skin! I have rosacea and I have been using Avene Cicalfate Plus for the past few months. It has done really well with my skin. However it is meant for repairing skin, while this product is made for rosacea and redness. I did research and bought this because my skin is red so much of the time and it flares up a lot. I’ve just put it on, and my skin is now red. yay. Why? Is this just a temporary thing? Should I keep using it? It’s a LOT lighter than Cicalfate Plus, which makes me think maybe it’s not moisturising enough.
it’s possible that this product/formulation just doesn’t agree with your skin. you could see if the redness goes down over time (i’m assuming the redness appeared right afteryou applied the product?)
Does the redness stay or disappear after a while?
I put sunscreen on and my face is still really hot and red
If your face is still hot a red after some time has passed, wash your face now. Your skin might not like this product for whatever reason so take it off so it can’t do more damage. I’m sorry it happens. Hope you can return it?

I can’t speak to this specific product, but as a person with persistent reddish skin and mild rosacea, most skincare products that claim to fight redness make my skin worse or more red. Why? I’m not sure. I’m just guessing I have super sensitive skin and very few products help.
A lot of people can get sensitivity to fermented extracts and citric acid. I tried Avene as a last resort when my skin was going through it since they advertised is for sensitive skin, my biggest mistake cuz it broke my already broken skin barrier.
I tried this (Dr Jart Cicapair) and not only did it not help, but my skin felt worse – it dried my skin out and it felt irritated. And the product made my makeup look terrible (which I hear does that to pretty much everyone who comments here, they recommend no makeup over). The worst product I’ve ever personally used.
Oh no!!! :(( I’ve never used it personally but know many people who have had great experiences with it - I’m sorry this happened to you

I use that at night before moisturizer. This is a moisturizer I was hoping I could use.
