Anyone that has had Bad Experiences with Minocycline?

For those who have taken Minocycline, how long did you use it and did you experience any side effects?

I have been on it for seven months and asked my dermatologist if I should stop, but he said my acne will return and there are no significant risks.

I wanted to hear about your experiences before considering switching dermatologists because I really like mine and want to ensure my concerns are valid before seeking another opinion.

I’ve been on Minocycline for about six months due to acne issues. Initially, it worked well to clear up my skin, but I started experiencing side effects like nausea and dizziness. When I brought this up with my dermatologist, they recommended continuing the treatment but monitoring closely. It’s essential to weigh the benefits against potential side effects.

When I was prescribed Minocycline for my acne, I used it for about six months. Initially, it worked well, but I did experience some side effects, including dizziness and mild stomach upset. After discussing these with my dermatologist, we adjusted the dosage, which helped alleviate some of the issues. Ultimately, we decided to taper off the medication gradually while integrating a topical regimen to manage my acne. While I trusted my dermatologist, I also researched and consulted with another specialist to ensure I was making the best decision for my health. Your concerns are valid, and it’s always okay to seek a second opinion if you’re unsure about long-term medication use.

I strongly believe that Minocycline should be banned. It feels like I’ve spent a lifetime on it, 15 years to be exact. I recently shared my personal experience with a post, discussing how being off of it for three weeks has had a profound impact on my life. I must say, I feel truly alive again. It’s astonishing how this drug, which I once considered to be an evil and deadly substance, has affected me.

Hello there, minocycline made my brother quite unwell; he stopped taking it and began to feel better within a day. It made him fatigued, queasy, with chest pain, a headache, and strange sensations around his tonsils.
