Best hand lotion for extremely dry cracked hands?

Hello guys I have eczema, and in the winter, my hands get so dry and irritated that they crack, causing painful cuts that last for weeks.

I used to use Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream (unscented), but I do not like how it feels on my skin, making my hands slimy when I wash them.

I received Kiehls Ultimate Strength Hand Salve as a gift, and it was great because it absorbed quickly, but it was a bit expensive, so I have not bought it again. I tried Palmer’s Intensive Relief Hand Cream as a cheaper alternative, but it doesn’t seem strong enough.

At night, I put Sudocrem on the cuts to help them heal, but I do not like how greasy it makes my hands, and it is hard to use with a lotion for dryness.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Try La Roche-Posay Lipikar Cream+5. It provides immediate comfort, hydrates, and has a long-lasting effect.

If you want something particularly thick, Eucerin’s intensive repair lotion rich is ideal.

If you’re looking for a more treatment-based cream, Elicasal has worked well for me; it contains 5% salicylic acid, which helps with rough spots. I am not sure if that is a prescription.

I’ve also recently started using ‘gloves in a bottle’, which seems to make my hands a little dryer because it’s a barrier cream. Only restarted today to see.

If itching, pruzax cream or lotion is a quick remedy, but the La Roche-Posay Lipikar has proven one of the best.

Eucerin Advanced Repair Hand Creme is the best dermatologist-recommended lotion. This hand creme can be extremely beneficial for dry, cracked hands because it’s enriched with ceramide-3 and natural moisturizing factors, including amino acids, similar to those already naturally found in your skin.

To deeply moisturize, look for fragrance-free hand lotions that contain dimethicone, colloidal oatmeal, or ceramides. Use occlusive, thick balms at night, such as Eucerin or Aquaphor. Try creams with urea; urea is excellent for eczema. Apply a small amount of hydrocortisone on painful cracks before moisturizing. Wear gloves, be kind, and stay away from strong soaps. It is possible to heal your hands with the correct practice.

hi brothers and sisters, this intensive hand treatment contains a mix of emollients and humectants designed to moisturize and heal the skin. for optimal results, apply it before bedtime, and consider wearing gloves to lock in moisture.
