Can someone tell me if CeraVe is Cruelty-Free?

Hey folks…

I’m trying to find out if CeraVe is a cruelty-free brand. I’ve been using their products for a while, but I’m concerned about animal testing and want to make sure my skincare routine aligns with my values.

Can anyone clarify if CeraVe is cruelty-free or not? Any detailed info or sources would be super helpful!

Thanks…

In their FAQ, a business may say that they “do not test on animals” and are “cruelty free,” but that doesn’t mean it’s true. That’s why a lot of us use tools like Logical Harmony.

I’m leaving Cerave totally because they are owned by Nestle, which I don’t agree with.

I use vanicream every day to keep my skin fresh. We use Nivea crème as a heavy moisturiser. For a cleaner, Dermalogica.

CeraVe is not considered cruelty-free. Although their website states that CeraVe products are not tested on animals, the brand is owned by L’Oréal, which conducts animal testing in markets where it is required by law. This affiliation impacts CeraVe’s cruelty-free status.
