I recently finished a course of Accutane for severe acne, and I’m worried about the potential permanent side effects. During my treatment, I experienced some common side effects like dry skin and chapped lips, but now that I’ve stopped taking it, I’m still noticing a few lingering issues.
Has anyone else experienced long-term or permanent side effects after completing their Accutane treatment? Specifically, I’m concerned about joint pain and some mild vision changes that have persisted. I’d love to hear from others about their experiences and any advice you might have for managing these issues. Thanks…
Accutane can be a lifesaver for acne, but there can be some serious side effects
Rare but scary: In very rare cases, people have even lost their eyesight or worse.
Long-term effects to watch out for: trouble getting it up (erectile dysfunction) , mood swings , bone and joint pain, messed up blood sugar (including diabetes).
Remember, talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits to see if Accutane is right for you.
My mouth tends to get dry, but it’s not severe. However, it can be uncomfortable when I’m not near any liquids. It’s not a major issue.
My night vision is not great. It’s like everything is in grayscale at night, and different colors blend together. This mainly affects me when I’m driving at night, but I’ve adapted to it.
hello beauticians,my message,
Accutane can help with acne scars, but it might also lead to new ones. Some people experience joint pain that doesn’t go away even after they stop taking it. Additionally, vision issues from Accutane can sometimes be long-lasting.
