My face consistently appears worse, drier, or has more acne after getting facials from multiple estheticians that I’ve tried. I believe that my everyday regimen benefits my skin more than a facial. Is this how anyone else feels?
they’re wonderful for relaxing, but one visit won’t make much of a difference, and the money you’d spend on a facial would be better spent on things you can use at home. If you want to see any improvement, you should commit to a good spot.
To be honest, it depends. When I worked at a dermatology office, most clients who had a good skincare regimen felt completely the same after receiving facials. But as one reader below pointed out, more expensive and potent products like Hydrafacials did have an impact.
It’s possible that many spas, at least in my area, aren’t giving their customers the greatest facial since they follow “default” procedures every time a patient has a facial. These procedures often involve modifying one or two items based on the patient’s skin type, level of rosacea, or other major concerns.
@Alfie This is a useful point of view! I suspected they would do that, lol.
