I am always hearing about how this product has a “microneedling” effect. But would it have any sort of effect on atrophic acne scars? From what I understand, the product is not just a topical serum or something, it has tiny “reedles” that penetrate the skin. So would that potentially have the ability to help scars to an extent? I can’t find anything about this product and acne scars, only regular skin texture. I have been doing some microneedling with a pen and I am wondering if using the reedle shot alongside actual microneedling (obviously not at the same time) would help scars even more than just microneedling?
I can’t help you much as i haven’t tried it but this product always struck me as kinda gimmicky, you know a nice classic hydrating/soothing serum + their “hydrolyzed sponge” that just cause a prickling sensation.
It’s 100% marketing. Reedle shot is a scam
Save your money. The product doesn’t even contain a hydrolyzed sponge anymore, it was reformulated. Not that it has silicone needle molecules - their only benefit is that the rest of the ingredients in the product get delivered more deeply into the skin. That’s it. No ingredient in this helps with scarring, and the risk of upsetting sensitive skin through the physical process of these needle-like things penetrating is not worth it. Invest in sunscreen, and a good retinoid, those will do more for you to even your skin texture!
Lol it can only minorly improve the appearance of very superficial skin issues. If something has scarred, a product like reedle shot will not do much.
Camping out here as I am also in the market for a new one– thinking either ThreBody’s or OmniLux. I bought the Qure mask last year and liked that it was wire free, I could switch between red and purple lights and there is an app to target areas with specific lights. I wouldn’t recommend it though since it started having battery issues 7 months after I got it– I haven’t been able to get it to turn on.
I’ve heard of the OmniLux. I was hoping for something under $100 to try first, otherwise I’m going to have to hope I can get it as a Christmas present.
Maybe a smaller handheld option like the SolaWave then? PMD has a similar device that is retailing for $160ish. Amazon has a lot of masks in your price range but I don’t know how many of them are just scammy products versus having legit red/blue light
What results with light?
I don’t understand what your question is. Are you asking what the light does?
