Doxycycline with adapalene

I have really bad acne right now, mostly on my forehead and face. My dermatologist recently gave me a prescription for 100 mg of doxycycline to be taken twice daily and Differin adapalene gel to be applied twice daily for a week.

I just know that I should take the doxycycline after a meal, so I’m wondering if there are any other precautions I should take before I start. What kind of skincare regimen should I follow when I start it, as well?
