Excited by iRestore LED face mask results: 3 month update

Wanted to share my experiences with this, as it’s a relatively new product without too many reviews yet: the iRestore LED face mask

Results:

Tbh I was a little skeptical during the first two months, I didn’t see much change. I stuck with it though, used it daily for 1 session before bed without fail. They have 3 modes (P1 - red light and near infrared, P2 - all 3 wavelengths, and P3 - blue light). I used mainly P2 because it saves time with all 3 wavelengths at once.

At the end of my third month was the first time I noticed visible improvements in my skin: fewer fine lines in my forehead/jowls, smoother texture, and fewer acne breakouts. When I started getting unsolicited comments from my co-workers and people at the gym I see regularly, I felt more confident in the results (of note, I have been using this device alongside my usual skincare products but this mask was the only new addition). Three of my friends have bought it now after seeing my results, and I’m continuing to use it as part of my daily skin routine. It’s still a little early though, so I’ll continue to use it daily and track my results.

Comfort/fit:

Very light and comfortable. easy to multitask. solid eye protection. cord can get in the way sometimes but easy enough to tuck away. Took me a sec to understand the manual (I think they should make the instructions a little clearer), but it turned out to be easy to use.

Cost:

For around $500, not cheap for this category. However, I do think the quality/product specs vary widely among companies selling these devices, from borderline scams (looking at you, Solawave) to blinding masks (Omnilux) with zero eye protection. Given that this mask has the highest number of LEDs that I’ve seen on the market coupled with a sturdy build, I believe the price is justified (or perhaps there’s some confirmation bias here haha). But in all honesty, I’ve had my derm recommend this brand before for hair loss, and trust that it’s reputed. Plus, the technology is clinically proven with solid research backing, so I think it’s worth the investment

TLDR: Was skeptical initially but it’s legit and I highly recommend

Edit: A Redditor told me it’s on sale rn for $399 for Prime Day!

Hello! I have a similar one, I think mine is not as powerful, I have been using it for about two months but not daily, my skin still feels the same, but I do notice how my hair has grown where I have a small receding line.

Ohhh haha that’s actually in line with clinical studies showing that red light increases hair growth as well :joy:

This is really helpful. Did you use retinol while trying it out?

Yes~ I heard that your skin can be more sensitive during use, so I put retinol on after a session and not before
