For brown skin, I need a matte sunscreen

I was looking into Black Girl Sunscreen, but shipping to Canada is insanely expensive. :weary:

I need a matte sunscreen that won’t leave a tint or white/blue residue on melanated skin. I tried Green Beaver, but it made my skin look blue and left a white residue as it dried. Aveeno and Neutrogena were fine before, but with my oily skin, I end up looking like an oil slick by the end of the day. Plus, many sunscreens irritate my eyes, even when applied carefully, probably due to them running down.

Can anyone recommend matte, brown skin-friendly sunscreens available in Canada or that ship affordably? :sun_with_face:

Murad Oil and Pore Control SPF 45 is fantastic! I highly recommend it.

I’ve noticed that most sunscreens either leave a white cast on my face or make it look dirty, which is really frustrating.

Has anyone tried the cancer council face day wear which comes in a pink and white tube? Y’all might wanna try it. I am a brown skin girlie, and I swear by the cancer council matte 50+ sunscreen.

I had a similar issue with Green Beaver—it left my skin looking ghostly. Neutrogena and Aveeno were my go-tos, but the oiliness was a dealbreaker. Recently, I discovered La Roche-Posay’s Anthelios XL Dry Touch Gel-Cream. It’s mattifying and doesn’t leave any white residue. Plus, it’s available in Canada and often ships without crazy fees. Another good option is the Vichy Ideal Soleil Mattifying Face Fluid Dry Touch SPF 50. Both are kind to brown skin and keep the shine at bay. Hope this helps
