For those who use Vanicream Moisturizer at night what is your morning routine?

AM: ???

PM: LRP Hydrating Cleanser, Vanicream Daily Facial on damp skin, Vanicream Moisturizer

Climate: Hot/Humid Florida

I prefer not to cleanse in the morning but the petroleum residue feels like I need to, just water makes me feel dry, and if I do nothing I look like a greased-up pig all day. I know this is a popular product so I wanted to know what your morning routine looks like?

In the morning I do Vanicream cream cleanser, Vanicream vitamin c, and first aid beauty moisturizing spf

I’ve gotten away with just a warm water rinse in the mornings. I also have pretty hard water where I live which can be drying.

Follow up with a hydrating mist, CosRX snail mucin, and sunscreen.

A night after I slug with either this or Aquaphor, I use a super gentle balm cleanser, hydrates, and emulsifies fully so I don’t even need to use a second cleanser. It’s the “Im From Fig cleansing balm” So many other balms I have tried are thicker or harder or tackier, if that makes sense And I have had to use a second cleanser for those. But this one I do not have to. It’s like a fluffy gel if that makes any kind of sense lol

I also live in hot and humid Florida lol.

It’s a challenge to keep hydrated with this high heat and full sun immediately evaporating my face. That is why I can’t use foaming cleansers and have to use lots of hydrating products before even moisturizing to replenish what I’ve lost throughout the day ugh

I use Cerave PM Ultra Light moisturizer. It feels a lot lighter.

The only reason it’s called PM is because it dosen’t contain suncreen.

Just layer some sunscreen on top.

Morning:
Dove Sensitive Skin Beauty Bar
Lancome Advanced Genifique Face Serum
Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer

The second step of my routine is over-the-top and could EASILY be dropped. I have to use a cleanser to get that petroleum feeling you mentioned off, so I use a really light and gentle one but then slap an appropriate daytime moisture right back on.

You could try a toner pad to remove excess oils then finish off with sunscreen which you should definitely be using regularly with a place like Florida

I use YTP Kale Superfood cleanser followed by vanicream at night. I just rinse with water in the morning.

What is ur skin type? I have dry/dehydrated skin and I find that although the consistency is a bit thick, It isn’t enough to keep my skin moisturized through the night and is even mattifying, so I coat it with Cerave’s healing ointment. Don’t underestimate the influence climate can have on your skin. When I lived in Texas & Hawaii my routine was drastically different because the moisture in the air kept my skin hydrated better than when I lived on the East Coast. I recommend that you try their face lotion and not the cream since it seems that it is too much for your skin type. Also, I had never in my life washed my face in the morning until I started using the creative healing ointment. What I do since I have dry skin and using a traditional face wash 2x a day is not an option is I use the cleansing balm I use at night to remove my makeup/sunscreen and that removes the layer of grease I wake up with, without making my skin feel like it’s been “cleansed.” If switching to another moisturizer doesn’t work for you I recommend start using the same cleanser 2x a day.

More vanicream but this is only if I wash my face in the morning, which I don’t do often.

I’m SO glad it worked well for you!

I have combo/sensitive/acne-prone skin. If I wear makeup, I triple clean I wipe my face with cotton pads and Micellar water. Then do a melting balm and massage my face with it. Rinse then wash my face with cereal. To help with texture, you have to use tretinoin to help with skin turn over.

sulfur-based cleansers work for sebaceous filaments, you let it sit on your face for a bit then wash it off. I know the double cleansing fans hate to hear it but oil cleansing does not work for everyone and you don’t have to keep on breaking yourself out with oil cleansers to hopefully find the one that doesn’t.

Oil cleansers only clogged and irritated my skin. Micellar water has worked really well as I am a guy who only splashes his face with water in the AM and apply sunscreen. At night micellar water with reusable bamboo pads and gentle cleanser. Way less acne almost zero. I’ve been incorporating TO glycolic acid and rotate with G&G retinal emulsion.
