I need help with my skincare

New to skincare

Hello! I (20f) am not very familiar with skincare as I grew up with my father and my mom never really cared about stuff like that. My routine began when I was 18 while taking some medication for acne.

Now, I’m Washington my face with La Roche Posay and applying Nivea moisturizer and sunscreen too. The products I use aren’t the problem. That lies in the fact that no matter what skincare I do I always break out. I stopped using towels and wiped my face with paper towels instead, I don’t use warm water but cold, etc.

What I’m looking for is advice on maybe some kind of vitamin I could try to help with my complexion. The last one I tried was Centrum Beauty and Collagen but it did nothing.

I want to get rid of my dark circles and my breakouts and finally achieve smooth skin.

Any advice?

Over-the-counter topical Differin aka Adapalene is the best option, especially if you can’t afford a dermatologist rn. As for supplements, zinc is backed up by research regarding its anti-acne efficiency. I think it’s the only one. But it can cause stomach pain. I would also go for a lighter moisturizer ( I like Bioderma Hydrabio gel cream). I would also advise salicylic acid wash (like Laroche posay green one or Cerave), but it can be harsh when combined with adapalene, you would need time to get used to it.

OMG thank you so much! Will consider all of the above you just mentioned and do more research!

Ofc and you are already doing the most important thing of all by using SPF cream daily, so well done!
