I have very oily skin that’s becoming more combination with both ends of the extreme on different parts of my face, and I hate wearing sunscreen bc of it.
I just tried the beauty of joseon matte sun stick bc everyone everywhere says it’s amazing for oily skin and isn’t greasy at all but it feels like I smeared crisco all over my face and made my makeup pill and cake and collect in every tiny crease of my skin and I really don’t get the hype at all? Am I using it wrong?? I used it after moisturizer (versed dew point) then put only concealer and powder on top and it looks horrible and all my my makeup feels like it’s melting off and also wipes off very easily.
If any oily skinned person has tips please I beg you to share
Are there any non greasy spfs that aren’t super expensive? Lotion and stick (for reapplication over makeup) suggestions would be super appreciated
It’s probably because the base of your makeup and the base of your sunscreen are not made of the same ingredients so they aren’t meshing well. Is your makeup silicone or water based? What about your sunscreen? If they don’t match up it causes pilling and “melty” look.
Supergoop mineral matte sunscreen is a tinted makeup primer so your makeup can sit on top well. It has a whipped texture created by the addition of dimethicone and dries matte. This is different from others but whether or not you like it more than greasy will be up to you.
Try the Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun Rice + Probiotics, the lotion. I finally tried it this month, first time in my life when I feel like the SPF is not to heavy on my face. I can apply a pretty big amount without being sticky or peeling or anything. Feels really light, I can’t even believe it’s an SPF. Even though it’s a bit pricey where I live, I feel like it’s absolutely worth every penny. I have oily and senitive skin, so it’s not an easy task to find a good one.
I find the opposite with this one. My face is SUPER shiny with it. It doesn’t feel heavy, but I always have to powder my face afterward to control some of the shine. I wanted to love this one
I have extremely oily skin too and all sunscreens failed me and had me oily by noon until I got LRP Anthelios fluid mineral sunscreen. It keeps me matte all day and makes my skin look so much better than it ever has. I’m pale so whitecast isn’t an issue for me with this screen but there’s a tinted one too.
The Isntree Watery Hylauronic Acid Sun Gel literally feels like nothing on my skin. Love love love. Fwiw I hated the BOJ one for the same reason you did, it felt heavy and greasy and I wondered if it was really a Korean sunscreen bc it felt like every other US sunscreen I’ve ever tried. And yes, it’s real, I got it from Stylevana.
