Looking for ideas to help with super dry skin… Anyone have product recs?

I’ve struggled with dry skin since I was around 8 or 9, so long that I can’t remember not having it! It’s only on my legs though, my arms are fine, but from the knees down, my skin’s so dry it looks like a desert. Because of that, it’s really sensitive and often gets rashes, even though I’ve tried daily moisturizing with Vaseline lotion. Nothing seems to help. I’ve decided to seriously tackle it since I feel self-conscious about my legs. Because it’s been left untreated for so long, it might be hard to fix. If anyone has products that have worked for them, please let me know

Thank you so much…

Anything with oatmeal might be helpful! I like Aveeno’s calm oatmeal moisturizer. First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair with oatmeal is another option, though it’s a bit pricier and harder to find. You might want to try the Aveeno option first!

Another trick is to try a light oil like Neutrogena’s, let it absorb, and then layer on your lotion.

Good luck!

Omg, thank you so much <3 I’ll give it a try and let you know if it helps!! T-T <3

You’re so welcome! Yes, definitely keep me updated :sparkling_heart:

Here are some suggestions:

Cleansers: CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser or Aveeno Skin Relief Body Wash.

Moisturizers: CeraVe Moisturizing Cream, Eucerin Advanced Repair Cream, or La Roche-Posay Lipikar Balm AP+.

Ointments: Aquaphor Healing Ointment or any petroleum jelly.

Body Oils: Bio-Oil Skincare Oil or Neutrogena Body Oil—both are lightweight and give long-lasting moisture.

Hydrating Treatments: Eucerin Aquaphor Repairing Skin Paste, or (even though it’s for eczema, it’s super soothing) Aveeno Eczema Therapy Itch Relief Balm.

A tip: Apply moisturizer right after showering while your skin is still damp to help lock in moisture.

Hope this helps!

Thanks so much!! I used to use CeraVe, and it definitely helped, but I ran out and it’s hard to find here, when I do, it’s so expensive. But I’ll try the tips you mentioned, and thank you for the other product recs <3

For the body, I’d suggest Eucerin original cream in a tub. You might need to put on something moisturizing first, then seal it with a strong barrier like Eucerin.

Aquaphor is another good choice as well.

I haven’t heard of Eucerin before, but I’ll give it a shot and let you know. Thanks so much for your help <33
