Aquaphor does wonders
Vaseline can help rebuild the skin’s barrier.
Hey hope you’re doing okay <3
La Roche posey cicaplast and petroleum jelly
I would not put a Roche Posey cicaplast that close to the eye—at least on my eyes, it would seep in and sting like hell.
I hate this so much! I get it a lot and this is the exact combo to do can confirm. It’s not going to heal the first time but keep reapplying. It should be good in a few days
I am prone to eczema around my eye. The only thing i’ve find to help is eucerin eczema creme. Use sparingly and carefully in that area. COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence has also helped to keep my eye eczema at bay.
Use a gentle face wash (I’m addicted to La roche posay Lipikar AP+) and try to avoid touching that area. I know that’s a hard one.
Avoid makeup for a while.
The good news is that this is likely for you a situational thing and not chronic.
Good luck!
The Eucerin Eczema Relief with colloidal oatmeal. Saves me when I’m having an eczema flare-up.
Aquaphor would do wonders, get the area a little damp before you apply so that it locks in moisture
Yes to adding dampness. My favorite method is like a drop of water, unscented gentle moisturizer, then Aquaphor or another similar product. Works great for chapped lips too!
I would not do any of the suggestions of cicaplast Baume, Aquaphor, or any of the petrolatum-based products. The only thing that heals something like this is either time or ointment from a doctor. Eyes are incredibly sensitive and a lot of these products specifically say to not be used around the eye. If you have a gentle moisturizer safe for eyes like Vanicream or your eye cream you can use that once it no longer stings but for now, it’s probably best to just wait for healing.
Vaseline, I get this a lot on my eyelid
I usually use petroleum jelly.
please be kind to urself sending so much love:heart:
Is this periorbital dermatitis perhaps? You should talk to your PCP
Dermatologist or doctor. This is periorifical dermatitis. I only got rid of mine when I used prescription ointment meant for use in or around the eyes.
The one I got prescribed is called Neo-Poly-Bac ointment. It’s both antibiotic and has some hydrocortisone in it but formulated safe for the eyes.
Hi! Do you have eczema? This is what my eyelid looks like with eczema and I use a topical over-the-counter hydrocortisone cream (like cortisone 10) and this clears right up. I also have topical steroids but my doctor told me hydrocortisone is a low-level steroid that is safe for eyelid use.
Vaseline! Lock that moisture in girl. Whatever’s bothering you, I hope gets better
