Hey Skincare Squad, I’m on the hunt for a new moisturizer, but I’m stuck between lotion and cream. I’ve seen both at the store, and they both claim to hydrate, but is there a real difference? Is lotion lighter and better for summer, or should I be reaching for the thicker cream? My skin tends to be on the normal side, but it can get a little dry in the winter months.
Any advice on choosing between lotion and cream? Products you love for normal skin?

The wash and lotion I use are both Cetaphil soft. It doesn’t smell bad and makes your face feel clean, smooth, and clear.

It is ideal to use a lightweight moisturizer or hydrating gel between lotion and moisturizing cream for the skin. For people who find lotions and creams too light or heavy, these products offer sufficient moisture without feeling heavy on the skin.
I recommend you to check for products marketed as “lightweight hydrating lotions” or "gel moisturizers
